New Riptide power heads

    These things are going to be incredible. Probably the biggest thing in water movement since the vortechs came out.

    Yeah the riptides look good. They are daying that they will be clear all the way so they are harder to see as well. Going to be pretty neat?

    I've been seeing on other forums $200+ for the small one and there is 5 different kinds. Looks cool though

    With a few powerheads (3 or more) it's not too hard to create a gyre in a tank :0) The Riptides do look like they have great flow! Heard that they will be offering them in different colors but will have to see... I'm keeping my MP's but will look forward to seeing the RipTides :0)

    I am not convinced they will be that great. In no time I can see these becoming covered in algae and needing cleaned frequently in order to work properly

    The talk about clear units so they wouldn't be as easily seen in the tank made me wonder if these people found a way to stop the coralline algae from growing on them, or they just take them out every couple weeks and scrub them clean.

    I think its a cool idea, but would definitely like to see them in action, and see some long term testing before I would consider replacing my vortechs with them.
