    Well,
I just jumped on a new BEAST of a skimmer.  the  500 gallon rated Super reef with the bubbleblaster pump.  This thing officially has twice the load of my old Bullet II  [IMG].. though that was a heck of a skimmer.
I hope this thing fits in a 55 gallon tank...  it may not (I am hoping rotating it will work- it is too big otherwise with a 18"x 12" footprint)  if it doesn't I may have to refigure my sump sooner than planned [IMG]   ha ha
The pic makes it look soooo tiny...

I am planning on the smaller version- the 2000. Reviews on this skimmer have been excellent. i am limited on my space and this one is only 23" tall... I heard the bubble blaster pumps are quiet and really pull alot for their size...

i checked their site but they have the old models with the sicce pumps instead of the bubble blaster.. :_(

let me know how it does for you.

Do you have enough bioload to make it run efficient though?

    I will.
It will take a while for the tank to get there though /DesktopModules/ActiveForums/themes/_default/emoticons/biggrin.gif

I am going to have a heavily stocked 185 as well as a frag tank/ series of frag tanks, several refuges, and will be feeding very heavily.

LOL. I saw 55 gallon and didn't think that was just going to be a sump.

Good luck Matt. I'm getting your Bullet 2 up tonight, hopefully with no problems. I'm going to plumb it externally to test it out. I have a rough tote I'm using for the time being. I'm drilling a bunch of holes in it before I drill the glass sump, just to test it for problems and in case I need to plumb it differently.

I'll let you know how your old baby works!

Reefer, If I only had a 55, I would expect no less than you to call my bluff /DesktopModules/ActiveForums/themes/_default/emoticons/biggrin.gif

Who knows, I may end up liking the becketts better... and be back there in a couple of years again.

Well, it is running. it is the size of a 5 gallon bucket... and a little taller.

I will have to find a way to squeeze it in better... I had some LR rubble in the sump that is making it tilt ever so slightly.

well, I tried to get the model below it- and they were out everywhere, and Premium was great in working with me /DesktopModules/ActiveForums/themes/_default/emoticons/biggrin.gif.. the upgrade is a tad more than I will need... but in the "zone" for my end goals
