I've been looking at new or yearish old SUV's.  I've had 4 Toyta 4-runners and really love them but our Toyota dealer sucks when it comes to dealing with females and I'm about done with them.
Anyway, I've driven a Nissan Murano and Lexus 350.  Thinking about test driving a Buick Enclave, GMC Arcadia and a Toyota Highlander (at a different dealership) because I like the third row of seats.
Really liked the Murano and no so much the Lexus.  I want either a All Wheel Drive or 4 Wheel drive.
Does anyone have any of these and, if so, how do you like it?  My main concern is how they get around in the winter, repairs and all that good stuff.  COuld care less about all the "fluff" they think everyone needs like GPS and Sirus radio, etc.  I have a GPS and know how often those things just go "poof".

I love the Muranos but have heard mixed reviews on their transmissions. My grandpa just got an Arcadia and I drove it a few times. Pretty nice ride and good power for only a V6. If you are ok driving to Ames to the Toyota dealer let me know and I will get you the name of my guy. He will treat you right especially if you mention my name. Shoot me a PM if you want some info.

Yes, I've read that, Tim, plus several other review sites but I would like to hear from someone that owns any of them. Especially the winter driving part.

We had a Highander a few years back and LOVED it. No problems in the winter. You can't go wrong with one IMO. Ames dealer also

I am a Toyota fanboy myself. Are you selling an older 4runner Phyllis? Don't let me girlfriend know! /DesktopModules/ActiveForums/themes/_default//emoticons/wink.gif

We have a 2010 rav 4 with no fluff and love it. 28mpg 4cylinder that still performs well. Makes up our steep hill in the ice better than my 4X4 tacoma with off road tires. Drove it to northern cali and back this summer and loved it. Good price and good value. Low on fluff though, not the luxury type ride imho.

Nice to hear about the Highlander and the Rav 4...thank you. I have the name Gered...thanks.

Bela, probably will sell my 02 4-runner. Never have had one problem with it at all and they say I could get another 70,000-100,000 on it. Everytime I look at new ones everyone tells me that so I start thinking...why sell it then...lol

We just bought a new Traverse (same this as the enclave, but a couple thousand less). It has had stellar reviews & so far has lived up to it. We will see how it does this winter though.

If you don't have a buyer yet, I am sure my girlfriend would be interested if the price is right! Assuming you do decide to sell of course /DesktopModules/ActiveForums/themes/_default/emoticons/smile.gif

I'll chime in about my toyota. I've got a 2000 Rav 4 with 180,000 miles on it. They have been getting beaten up in the press lately, but if you remember to change the oil they just keep going and going and going...

I have a 2010 highlander, the regular, not the hybrid and it is exceptional. The enclave and the lexus are a little "fancier" but for the money you cant get a better value or nicer vehicle!
