I am moving and in the new house going to have a built in 150 gallon tank with a fish room behind. Any tips from the experts on things I should do now instead of wishing I would have done something different after setup?

The room is 8x13 1/2. The tank stand has become a bit of a workbench as we work in the basement.

Plan plan plan, is my advice. Try and think about what you want to accomplish with the tank and take it slow. I know this isn't the advice you are looking for but in my experience a well thought out tank will survive the longest. Also it sux to look at you tank and see things you should have done.

Leave room for improvements because at some point your going to wanna improve.

Redundancy redundancy redundancy. It's very important to have a backup for the backup. Have more than one option for everything.

I was able to recruit 3 family members and get the tank set this weekend. So much more to do!

I am debating having a sand bed in the display this time around. Thoughts or advice?
