After years of wanting a reef tank, I finally conned my wife into letting me start one up.  We got a 29 gallon tank and per my usual self didn't do enough research and just jumped right in.  Luckily I didn't do any permanent harm (except for the fire shrimp my wrasse ate) and we got off and running.  Currently in my tank we have a nice rock wall, 2 clownfish (the 4 year old insisted), a fairy wrasse, a bi-colored blennie, a neon dottyback, a starfish (I can't recall what its proper name is, it is reef safe, dark red with knobs) and a whole host of snails.  We also have a frogspawn coral, a kenya tree, silver pulsing xenia, a bali acro, and a couple of random zoa polyps.  My other hobbies include home brewing and smoking as much meat as humanly possible.  I look forward to meeting some of you at upcoming events!
    Thanks,
    Charlie

Welcome to GIRS. And...clowns are good additions to a new tank....even without a 4 year old's influence !

I would like my clowns a lot more if they would stop hosting the heater in my tank and pick either my BTA or Frogspawn!

Hi Charlie...Welcome! I am just getting back into the hobby after a few years off. I see that one of your other interests is home brewing. I started that last year. I entered a few contests and have placed 2nd with a Russian Imperial Stout and 2nd and 3rd with an American Wheat. One good thing about these is that you can use your refractometer for both :). We will have to share recipes sometime.
