Tank is in!!!!! And set! It only took 10 people, 1 skid loader, 4 blankets, 2 hydraulic hoists, 6 straps and a lot of maneuvering:) I LOVE IT!!!

More to come when I get it stained and everything. I did do a lot of checking and yea the silicone was a little sloppy but nothing a razor couldn't fix. All in all, I am very happy and think it will be a great tank as long as it dosn't leak.

Tank is up and running and I am hip deep in freaking awesome rocks that D007 made! They are perfect for my island of rocks that are climbing up my plumbing.

umm, did you ignore the wait 30 days or something warning before filling the tank? The silicone is still curing on these tanks and may be wise to wait even if it does eat up your 90 day warranty.

OH NO! I FORGOT TO WAIT! Totally kidding! I was not going to mess this thing up by doing something that stupid. It took me nearly 2 weeks on just planning out how to get it into my house and makin sure everything was setting just how I wanted it down to the millimeter. I waited the 3 weeks that they said to plus another 3 weeks just I be on the safe side[IMG] I didn't want any leaking! So far the tank has been a complete beauty and easy to plumb and so on. So far, I am totally happy with how it has all come together. Just waiting patiently for my water to go through its cycling and find its groove.

That's cool, time goes by so quickly. I ended up waiting longer on mine so I could add silicone to to the corners, didn't trust the fact they only out it between the seams. I'd like to see inside the stand also, see where you drilled your holes for your electrical to come in and stuff.

I used to work for a security company and we had a pair of guys that moved safes for us. Complete professionals. I've seen them install 2000lbs+ boxes with surgical precision. If you need someone like that just send me a PM and I'll get their contact info for you.

I am now slowly adding some of my fish and I just put all 6 of my corals in too since I had changed over my lighting tonight [IMG] I must admit, this tank is SUPER SEXY! Can't wait to get it fully changed over. Hopefully by this weekend. Anyone interested I am now looking for a buyer for my 180. Asking $500. I can include the sump too if needed (75 gallon)[IMG]

yes. it is a three sided fireplace. But it has only been turned on 3 times in 10 years.... I believe 2 of them were because of power outages in the winter and we needed to keep warm, but now we have a generator just in case.

I have a question. I would like to keep my sand in my older tank but want to sift through it so I only keep the fine stuff and get rid of any broken shells and such because my end plan is to purchase a blue spotted Stingray. I am affraid of stirring up all kinds of nitrates but from what I understand the sand I have has great qualities because it is LIVE sand..... Can I do this? I have most of the stuff out of my old tank so the nitrate thing won't be harmful in that tank but what happens if I put it in the new tank and should I clean it or does that defeat the purpose? other than sand all over everything and being a dirty job what should I do?
