the tank is a 120g (4x2x2) the stand I made with a frame out of 2x4 and 2x6 lumber and the exterior is quarter sawn lumber. I really love the look of the grain the wood has. Thanks for the comments.

Nice job with the rock work too! You've made quite an investment in AI lighting! It's great lighting, and I think you'll find some good coral growth.

thanks Jim. I planned this one out for a while and really put it together with a well thought out plan. I used marco rock and kept it 8" from the walls for the corals to grow and made a lot of arches and nooks & crannies for the fish to swim. I fused everything together with a fodd grade stucco for stability. I can't wait to start putting my corals back in but it has only been up for 10 weeks. Getting anxious!

i soak the rock for a while in salt water then add to the tank and runn it for a month or so then do water changes and start adding live sand and some CUC. Once that goes for a fe weeks I add some fish and then take it slow. i will monitor everything for a while and once all is stable, specifically the pH, I start adding the corals back in. ro me, the marco rock or equivalent, is the way to go and well worth the wait. the scaping is how you want it and the pests are less likely to get in

Wow, you are off to a great start! Your stand looks great and your overall plan looks very well thought out. I can't wait to see your tank progress. Have you decided on what type of corals you are going to keep yet?

john- I oredered the oak (1x4, 1x5 and 1/4" plywood) from a local millwork guy I knew througb a friend. As far as corals. I have a soft spot for zoeys so I will have 2 small and one larger zoey rocks, This way I can remove if they get out of control. I love acans and other SPS. I have purchased 5 from frag fest and a buy with FishBrain recently. I also purchased 2 frag packs from Bill this fall (SPS) that will be all coming back. I have a good friend that has housed them for me while my new tank matures to a good point. I may start adding a couple of acans this following week if everything stays good and stable. We will see.

    Thanks for the compliments all.

It has been a fun ride, ready for it to continue. I owe a lot to this club. I have gained a lot of from all of you and the forums. I also have learned from my own, and others mistakes and successes. I also owe special thanks to AJ for realy saving me in the technology world. If it weren't for his help, my controller would still be in the box!

It is realy a sense of accomplishment to see it filled and running. Soon I will have all of my fish back in. I have a select few that I want to add but most of all I am ready for the next chapter, CORALS! Thanks again everyone!
