So i got an air water ice mighty might and the filters arent hooked together. I got all my fittings today and im hoping yall can help me hook em together. Im thinking- water in-> sediment->membrane->taste odor reduction->DI clean out of di into my container. Waste coming out of membrane down the drain. Sound right?

Thanks! I sent ya a text about water hookups. My only 2 choices are garden hose adapter or saddle valve

So i looked at the instructions and their names and mine dont match. I have taste and odor reducer, sediment, the membrane and di filter. Im sorry for dumb questions but i know nothing about these... Which is the carbon and in line carbon? Is the inline carbon the DI?

Someone at RC told me this.
( if this is going to be used strictly for your aquarium run you lines this way.
    water input
    sediment
taste odor reducer (switch to just a carbon filter when you change)
    membrane
    DI
    water output
    hope that makes sense)
Im excited to get this goin!

Yes - this is correct. Be careful with that little system however.

Realize that the "taste and odor" filter it really not designed to be a prefilter - it is designed to treat already dechlorinated RO water when it is placed between a pressurized storage tank and a drinking water faucet. So it has a very low capacity and I'd keep your flow through it slow.

Likewise for the sediment filter - it has very limited filter area to work with. Because the system doesn't have a pressure gauge, you'll be hard pressed to know when the sediment filter is clogging.

Configure your system so the little tube of DI resin is vertical, with flow in the bottom and out the top. Make sure the tube is 100% full, and the resin is packed in there tightly.

Hopefully you have a very slow membrane (e.g., 24 gpd or less) in the system.

The system is a 50gpd. I do plan on changing filters soon but not right now. U said keep the flow slow. Pardon my ignorance but ill be hooking up to a washing machine water supply or saddle valve. Do i just not turn the water pressure up all the way? Ive noticed that filters arent like normal ro ones so replacements may be a little tricky...

Had one of these and gave it away. After only using it a few times the Tds was almost 100.

Replacement prefilters for your system will be more expensive than for a normal system, and you'll have to make them more often.

By run the water slowly I ment use a slow membrane (e.g., 24 gpd), but you already have your membrane so that suggestion wont work for you.

So this system is pretty much useless for me then

Not the best investment for a system to support a reef tank.

It can be a starting point, but not best for a larger system. For what you are using it for though with your small tank it will be ok for a little while.

All ive got is a 29 Biocube but i guess look at it like this... its better than tap water.
