Does anyone on here dose nitrates into their tank, if so what product do you use?

I don't, but I think there are a couple that do.
You think you're nitrate limited in your nutrient export method, or just run an ULNS and looking to see if a little nitrate improves things?

You can dose and capful or 2 depending on water volume and test every hour or 2 until you reach the level you want.
I just dosed 2 capfuls for 200 gallon system everyday for a couple weeks and tested every day until I hit 2ppm nitrates.
Why do you want to dose and what does your filtration consist of?

There is also a thread on reef2reef about dosing Spectracide stump remover for adding nitrates. I went with seachem flourish nitrogen because my local fish store has it.

I was going to go with the stump stuff but am having a hard time finding it. I have a rather light bio load for roughly 350 gal twv. Mainly just gha in my fuge. Scrubber and skimmer. I struggle with phosphates but never had measurable nitrates.

Are you having trouble with coral coloration? How high are your phosphates? Possibly sandbed full of **** causing high phosphates?
When I started dosing nitrates my Phosphate dropped to 0. But my coral colors improved. Especially my red and purple and others were a deeper color not pale. It really helped.

Phosphates are usually around .06 I've been trying the red sea color program but it's not doing any good. Corals are just pale. Sand bed is only about an inch deep but I went with some diy black sand versus buying real sand.

That's pretty good. I would worry about. 06.
Dosing definitely improved my coral colors. It took a little while for some to improve but they looked way better.
Once I got the nitrates to where I wanted I didn't have to dose much after that. Like a couple capfuls every month or 2.
