I personally dose 5 ml a week in my 200g water volume system. Im on week 8 now dosing this. have seen increased growth from my corals also i have not had to clean my glass for 3 weeks [IMG]. I haven't dosed anything since I have began using nualgi all parameters are holding steady.

I'm not gonna lie I was concerned about not dosing and also the diatom bloom but everything is in check now. The first diatom bloom was all over the tank it really scared me cause I thought I would loose corals. I would like to say I did not have an algae problem in 2 years so I was worried lol. The diatoms are gone I only get a small bloom every once in awhile now but in a small area which it is almost gone overnight after I see it. I have cut back on my feedings (which I fed alot lol) everything seems to be really happy.

Working at the store I have seen that one of the biggest issues and reasons why people give up is algae. After doing some research on this product and seeing you are shipping to LFS, I am going to talk to Joe about this and see about bringing it in.

Glad to have you on board, and thank you again for sponsoring the club.
I got the free trial when you were offering it. I haven't yet started dosing though. I wanted to get some other things done and have a full water test done to establish a baseline. I was then going to run through the nualgi dosing and do another full water test afterwords.

Welcome and Thank You for being a GIRS Sponsor!/DesktopModules/ActiveForums/themes/_default/emoticons/biggrin.gif

I am using Nualgi in my 3 systems. My 135g DT is doing good but I may be under-dosing a tad?! My 40B has a terrific diatom bloom currently. My frag tanks(90-100gTWV) have a small diatom bloom. I have not cut back on feeding. I have some babies in the tanks so they need food/DesktopModules/ActiveForums/themes/_default/emoticons/wink.gif I am considering spreading the dose out in the 40B. It looks pretty bad and is quite cloudy/DesktopModules/ActiveForums/themes/_default/emoticons/whistling.gif Any suggestions would be appreciated!

    Thanks again!/DesktopModules/ActiveForums/themes/_default/emoticons/w00t.gif

Thank you for the suggestions on my systems! Mondays are water change days so I will begin Monday then :0) I had thought about decreasing the photoperiod on the 40B but I just hadn't gotten that far...I'm a senior citizen so I don't rush/move fast like most of the young whippersnappers on GIRS! lol :0) I will decrease the photoperiod beginning in the morning. I will keep you updated and, thanks again!!

I agree that it must purge the nutrients from the sand and LR. My 40B was fine until I added NuAlgi :0) Fine meaning no algae in any of the 3 systems. I wanted to try NA to see if it would help keep the sand and LR clean(er)...I think it is:=)

Things are better :0) The diatom bloom is over in the 40B and I cut the photoperiod by an hour. Monday I will start doing the NA in the 40B on a daily basis to ensure that I don't have a bad diatom bloom again:=) I will add another .5ml to the 135g dose and, will begin daily dosing the 90-100g system. :0) Thanks again for the help!
