getting ready to plumb my 150.  I was thinking about using a couiple sea swirls t'edoff from my main return pump or using an ocean motions.  I have no experience with either and was wondering if anyone had for input.   thanks in advance!

I personally don't know anyone in the club that uses Sea Swirls, and very few that use Oceans Motions. I believe that Matt The Fiddler uses Oceans Motions on his setup and may be able to tell you why he went that way vs another option. I think he has details on his build thread which you should be able to find by searching the general forum or the Quad Cities forum. Are you doing a closed loop system or are you looking for a solution just for your returns?

I have an idea, or two, for what i want to do. The pump is an Iwaki rlt 100. It will sit in the basement, and pull out of the sump and pump it to the ground floor. So, i was thinking about putting a manifold right off the pump to run up to four returns to the tank, a possible skimmer branch, a refugium branch, and future. I like the sounds of the ocean motions for the random return and branching back to the tank, but i don't know anytihing about them. I was just curious about the sea swirls; i have seen them on a couple tanks in omaha and sioux falls. I may just plumb four return branches, and put penductors on each. I am looking for a lot of flow, and going barebottom. I would like to make the flow a little more random.
