Odd Skelton

    So we were walking the beach on the Gulf of Mexico and seen tons of shells, but what was odd was this skeleton?
    Thinking a type off EEL.?

    The Gulf has roughly 30 Eel species so that is a good possibility. Especially with the vast hypoxic zone there is a lot of die off. I would say that is the most logical guess. Some sort of aquatic snake or coastal snake is also a possibility, but far less likely.

    I should've looked at the picture more closely. That is definitely what it is!

    We are in Belleair beach area . 5 mins away from clearwater.

    After looking deep into it. They have a bead of water in the cracks. With a red something in the bead.
