Official Thread for the Dec. 9th Cedar Rapids Tank Tour

Any details yet, A bunch of wloo people are planning on coming

Sorry guys I am down in Florida and I havent been able to get on a computer all weekend, I will be back in Iowa tomorrow so I will post the entire agenda then. We are doing this on Sat starting at 12:00, we will have 3 maybe 4 stops with the final one being at cyberjesters. He has an awesome basement and is willing to host the last lingering stop that never ends. I will get the route and any other information posted tomorrow night.

I thought I posted somewhere if people would be interested in going to Pets Playhouse as a group but I cant find that, so I am going to ask here. Do you guys want to stop there?

I will not be on here again until tomorrow, so please be patient with me and still come to the tour. See you all this weekend!

That was probably a typo. I know the wloo people were planning on stopping at pets playhouse anyway. Would love to be able to stop at dons too. Looking forward to it

 

sorry guys, my brain was on vacation.....this will be on sunday starting at noon. i am still waiting on a few final details but i will get the schedule posted with a pets playhouse stop as soon as its finalized. i hope lots of people are able to make this!

1st Stop 12:30 – 1:15 Pet’s Playhouse
2nd Stop 1:30 – 2:00 Caleb (CalebJK)

1st: Pets Playhouse @ 151 Jacolyn Drive SW Cedar Rapids 52404
1. From the north take the 1st Ave exit and take a right. From the south take the 1st Street exit, turn right and then turn right onto 1st Ave.
2. Turn right into strip mall of Pet’s Playhouse

2nd: 125 Reef @ 1201 16th Ave SW Cedar Rapids 52404
1. Turn left onto 1st Ave.
2. Turn right onto Wiley Blvd.
3. Turn left onto 16th Ave.
4. Park in Certified Pest Control parking lot on right hand side.

3rd: 125 Reef @ 2310 Agate Street Marion 52302
1. Turn right onto 16th Ave out of parking lot.
2. Turn right onto 6th Street.
3. Turn left onto Wilson Ave.
4. Turn left onto I-380 North.
5. Continue to the Boyson Road exit, turn right, go quite a ways.
6. Turn left onto Agate Street, house is on the left.

4th: 40 Reef @ 634 Ashton Place NE #301 Cedar Rapids 52402
1. Turn right onto Boyson Road.
2. Turn left onto C Ave.
3. Turn right onto Ashton Place, house is on the right.

5th: 90 Reef @ 1205 Waldenwood Lane NE Cedar Rapids 52402
1. Turn left onto C Ave.
2. Turn left onto Boyson Road.
3. Turn right onto Walden Road
4. Turn left onto Waldenwood Lane, first house on the left.

 

the tour will start this coming sunday, december 9th at 12:30 at the Pet's playhouse. if you arent able to join us at the start, feel free to meet up with us whenever you are able. looking forward to seeing a good turnout of people and lots of interesting tanks! let me know if you have any questions or want this information as a word document.

the directions to pets playhouse are given using I-380 to get to town. people can call me that day at 319-573-5155 if they need anything.

Good job on the schedule steph! I am going to bring a camera although its not a great one so it doesnt take tank pics very well.

 

Just wanted to say the tour was a great time and I was very happy with the turnout. A big thanks to Josh and Steph for getting things rolling and thanks to the great hosts we had. All tanks looked very nice!!

 

I had a great time on the tour! Looks like we have quite the rough looking GIRS gang. All the tanks looked awesome and i finally got to know some of the people that i have been talking to online a bit better. I knew there was alot of people around here with nice setups. I cant wait for the next event! The only problem i foresee in the future is how to end the rest of the events with 4 tappers of delicious micro-brew.
