Working on ordering a new tank. Just looking for a little info on other acrylic aquarium builders I might be missing. I have contacted miracles, Midwest custom aquarium and just wanting some more options to compare before I place an order. Any more info would be appreciated.

I've found that it always helps to be very specific when asking how they would design it to accommodate your desired functionality. Aquarium builders don't always understand how you expect a system to function - they will mainly just ask what you want and build it, they aren't necessarily in the business of engineering the design correctly. I found this out the hard way, the tank I had Miracles build didn't turn out precisely as I had hoped but it was definitely still great. The things that I would have done differently include making the external overflow box for the BeanAnimal drains about 3" deeper (if they were experienced in using a BA drain, they would have known what to tell me to design it to) and making the tank about 1/2" taller to account for the waterline when operation under certain conditions, which I did not anticipate.

Things Miracles did wrong is drill the wrong size drain holes in the overflow box, I had told them specifically exactly what dimensions so use, and they cut them too small and I had to switch to ABS bulkheads. It turned out fine, but I was hot. Also their cutout for the end weir was not done exactly how I expected, and I has sent them CAD drawings even. Several times. But that might be because I didn't understand the mechanics of cutting glass, but they also could have told me what to expect.

If you want a design laid out, it's not that hard. Post your specs here and I can whip something up that will at least give you something to go to them with

I think this is who I will probably end up going with. I have read lots of great reviews about them.
