Well I did my weekly water change tonight and noticed that the water coming out of my tank was kinda yellow. I only feed my fish mysis once a week and flake once a week. I do weekly water changes and have not noticed this before. All my params are good. Has anyone else had tis before? Could I have just stirred up something unknowingly? Thanks for the assistance, Shaun

When you say "all my params are good" what is that supposed to mean? What is good to you maybe totally unexceptable to others. I feed flake and frozen at least once a day, so I don't believe it would be from over feeding but then again it all depends on how much of a bioload you have. Carbon will help keep your water clear and free from the yellowing you described but why it turns yellow is hard to say. Urine is yellow, could there be any correlation there?

Kids are pissing in your tank again? Realy though it's DOC's put some carbon in that reactor you have thrown in the corner and it will clear right up.

Nope no peeing in the tank. When I say my params are good I am talking the basics. Ammonia =0, nitrite=0, nitrate=0, ph8.1, cal=410, phosphates= undetectable, out of my mag test though.
