Hey have you guys tried dropbox? I just got an iPhone and installed it there and set it to upload all of my phone photos to the dropbox and then there is a continuously updated folder on my desktop where my files are always available over the cloud. I can also drop things from my computer into the folder and take it with me where ever I go. It's pretty sweet!

Anyways, you start with 2GB of cloud storage and get more for referring friends, so I thought I would share this with you guys and invite you. I REALLY do highly suggest it. Here's a refferal link: http://db.tt/sGrIxd8d

I've used Dropbox for a long time. It's a pretty decent service and you can't beat the price.

You're such a *****, Andy! Lol. I just signed up for it following your link. Congrats on the new phone! I'm on my 3rd evolution of iPhones and doubt I will try Android unless Apple starts making crap or if Android phones are just heads and shoulders above iPhones.

Lol you don't know the half of it Sone! haha Thanks man!

yah i'm really impressed with this iPhone. I was skeptical, I've never been a big fan of Apple computers or any of that crap because I'm a gamer and a nerd, and a techie, and a system builder. But these phones are really great. They don't bog down when you jump from app to app, and what I like even more is that they are appropirately sized, albeit smaller, it's just perfect. I can manage my apps from my itunes and just plug in and sync without ****ing around on my phone for hours trying to get all the crap downloaded, installed, and orgazined, one by one app at a time.

Kyle, they do have dropbox for android phones too. I use my flickr page for all my photo storage and I pay like 20 or 30/year on there, which is ridiculous cheap, plus I like their communities. But I try to keep my photostream on flickr mostly professional, high quality photography that serves as a sort of portfolio of my work (I need to go through my photostream and clean some stuff out tho!) Dropbox I use for word documents and spreadsheets I'm working with on the fly, and basically as a automated data backup service that I can draw photos from my phone instantly without screwing around with sd cards (since I don't have one anyways on the iPhone). It's really a pretty good system with cloud sync data.

I have something like 120 GB od Dropbox space that I pay $9.99 a month for. Pretty much the best deal for the best service on the Internets. If you don't back up in at least 3 places, it doesn't exist and dropbox solves that problem effortlessly and elegantly. True story: Steve Jobs was impressed with dropbox because the could mmick the Apple OSX icons and insert them into the OS. He wanted to buy them to become iCloud. They turned him down. Dropbox still is amazing. iCloud is a joke.

I have been an Apple fanboy since my Apple IIc, but I have to say that I am officially off the Apple brand. The iPhone and their penchant for claiming they are innovators because they copied features that already existed, not to mention their marketing hyperbole ("magical" indeed) have turned me off. And now they're making their computer OS more like iOS. Horrible move. I don't want a phone OS on my desktop.

My wife has an iPhone 5 and I recently got a Galaxy Note 2. The iPhone 5 is a joke. Same boring out of date OS, a little bit longer, same marketing BS; Apple has become Mircrosoft in the 90s, bland, ubiqitous and out of date.

The Note 2, however, is a pretty fantastic phone.

Haha, nice Dustin. Hey do you have an online portfolio? (Jason same question). I'm going to start marketing myself as a sort of multidisciplinary generalist, since my skill set is somewhat unique. I thought an online portfolio would be a good way to do that. Thought you guys would have some inspiration for me since you're also renaissance men.

Jason I know what you mean, it's maddening to me that Microsoft had the guall to do the same thing with windows8 and metro. (In my best Lewis Black impression) the phone, is a phone, the computer is a computer. THAT'S WHY THEY'RE 2 DIFFERENT ****ING THINGS! But I expected as much. I've never been a Microsoft fan boy as I am a big fan of chipset designers (AMD and Intel) and of course I'm very fond of the incredible quality of licensed mfgs such as Gigabyte, MSI, ASrock, ASUS, and EVGA. The quality of the components the make is second to none. The digital MOSFET designs these guys have created has revolutionized our clock speed capacity on silicone cores. It also has given me the opportunity to be at the brink of technology with my desktop continuously by putting a few 100 bucks every year into my system, instead of spending 2000 on a system that will be entirely obsolete in 2-3 years and suffering the entire time until I'm ready to blow anothe 2k to save my sanity. No computer out of the box can compare to the quality you get when you build your own pc. Phones on the other hand, are pretty much always going to be disposable! Lol

Man Andy and Jason! We all are to similar in minds. We truly need to get together again soon. My first computer was a Acer 256mb Ram and a 25mhz Cpu and 256 bit graphics. I bought the CPU upgrade kit to double the speed and have been working with computers ever since. That was like 89 or 90 and I love Hackers the Movie. Just wish I was that smart. lol

I was never a big fan of Apple computers, but I do think they have there place. We all know that all these devices are all coming from Gene Roddenberry mind anyway. Apple and Microsoft are all knock offs. lol

I am very unhappy with Windows 8, but I know one day we will be all holding out computers in our hands all day only to dock them at home and continue to use them at home. They will basically be our home automation system one day. They will do everything we need or want to need.
