I recently upgraded my biocube 14 with these modules so I thought I would share some information that ecoxotic shared with me if anyone is curious.

My 1st question to them is if two of these (12k/blue, blue/magenta, plus a 403nm stunner) would be ok for a crocea clam placed about 6" from the surface. I also said I was keeping my fans by rewiring them. Here is what they said:
"Thank you so much for contacting Ecoxotic and showing interest in our LED products.

Your plan sounds great! Two Panorama Pros is what our recommendation would be, and adding a Stunner Strip will only help. Like you had mentioned, the Crocea Clam is a high light required friend for your tank, and the 2 Pros will be perfect. Also, keeping extra cooling is very important as it will only extend the life of your lights and help prevent them from heating issues.

Please let us know if you have any further questions."

I was then curious about PAR values for some combos of their lights so I asked them if they had any information about that, keeping in mind that LEDs, blue really, are under represented by most meters and they said this:

"Thank you for contacting Ecoxotic and showing interest in our Panorama Pro 2.0 modules.

We try not to be very misleading or confusing with hobbyists in terms of PAR with the Panorama Pro Modules. The PAR is always dependent upon the light used, spectrum, distance (depth) and distance between modules.

Assuming your using these on a nano-style aquarium (such as a Biocube), we have measured this using our most popular combination (12K White/Blue and Blue). These two modules produced ~150 PAR using an Apogee PAR meter at the substrate when placed in the hood. Please keep in mind, the APOGEE doesn't measure PAR well below 460nm, therefore the PAR is likely 20% or so higher. If your keeping clams or SPS corals at the substrate, we usually recommend 3 modules for high growth (the PAR is 225+ at the bottom with 3.)

    Hopefully this helps!"

I have to say I am impressed with ecoxtic support, I asked those questions and got a clear answer in the same day. I have been looking at PAR values quite a bit in other forums and ecoxotic's answer to PAR and SPS growth seems right on with what others have said, and they even included the fact apogee understates blue PAR.

I noticed how bright the lights are right away, but I happy the PAR is so high with two modules, 150 on substrate (210 correcting for blue value) is quite good and from what I have seen a crocea 6 inches down should have more than enough light as I have heard ranges from 100-500 on them.
