I'm piecing together a little 18x18 frag tank and was wondering if anybody has any experience with Par 38 bulbs. Would one give acceptable coverage? I've seen some really cheap ones on ebay that only had cool white blue and royal blue leds. It was my understanding that without full spectrum warm white leds are preferred over cool white because they contain red and green elements. If anybody has any input, please let me know. I really have no desire to do a DIY kit. The water depth of the tank is only 9 inches.

    Thanks in advance.

I had one of the Ecoxotic PAR38 LED bulbs with 40 degree lens. It had very tight coverage. It depends on the lens degree and how high you can have to bulb above the tank.

I had a Coral Compulsion full spectrum one over my 28g and it seemed to do well. Had to buy their heavy duty mount to support it because it's a hefty bulb.
