At the top out of the water?

You can grow about anything in that range. Keep your sps towards the top, lps towards the bottom

All measurements were taken in the water

For me it is really dependent on where the corals came from as well! I worry more about my PAR when I am adding new corals. I always try to figure out from who I am getting them from about what the PAR readings are and look for similar placement. Most of my SPS end up in that higher value range and then my LPS end up in the lower range.

What about leathers? R they able to withstand high lighting at the top?

I have seen people have them in high light, but it is not a must. If you are switching from something low par to something high par you need to adjust them slowly.

    probably not.

    Is your light dimmable?

Otherwise you can start them at the bottom & slowly bring them up

hey saltclg- keep that big leather towards the top...it's a picky leather when it comes to light.... and he likes high light. you can always tell if he's getting too much light because his edges will take on a slight white/tan/ brown tinge to it.

do also know that you just moved him though and he will stay pissed for a couple of days and may not come fully out. especially if the lighting has changed on him.
