Percula clown behavior question

    So I have a percula clown that has been in the tank for a few weeks. The past few days Ive noticed that he likes to go up to my flame hawk and lay against him and be really still, almost like they would do in an anemone. The hawk has started tolerating it and just sits there looking at me like :/ wtf. Is he trying to host a fish? Ive never had a clown before so just wondering if this is aggression, illness or just a clown being an idiot.

    Not sure but both my clowns act "funny". I have a black ocellaris and it trys to sit on my mandarin goby. It also likes to frequent the candy cane. I have a snowflake too and it sleeps in a mushroom, just lays there on its side. Always think its dead, then it starts slapping it with its tail.

    Lmao good greef sounds like he is just bonding with your hawk, does he do the explicit fit thing to?

    Chromis Yep the snow flake is hosting the mushroom, funny thing I have two bubble tips and my clowns won't even go near them but one likes to host my wellso brain .....

    Clowns are very social when they are singled out. I have seen single clowns bond with shrimp, corals and other fish. I had a clown pass and the current female bonded with my yellow tang. She wouldn't leave his side until I got a replacement...

    Well hopefully the hawkfish continues to humor him. He has a couple nips in his dorsal fin from trying to lay on the Royal Gramma, the hawk doesn't get as annoyed by it.
