Some of you are familiar with me as the Aquatics Specialist from the Jordan Creek Petco in West Des Moines. My name is Daniel, and I have enjoyed having many of you come in to see me. I genuinely love hearing about your new tank inhabitants and the progress your lovely tanks undergo. Some of you have even been kind enough to bring or show me pictures of your tanks (both freshwater and saltwater). At the frag swaps, I love chatting with my fellow aquarists and I look forward to the next one with the enthusiasm of a kid at Christmas.

Many of you have been popping into that particular store from time to time and can witness how the tanks looked before I took them over and how they looked after I started taking care of them. With many corporate restrictions (a lack of quarantine, two t8 bulbs to sustain coral, zero acclimation time for all organisms, etc) I tried to improve the quality of life for the inhabitants as best I could under such restrictions.

Having said all that, I no longer work for Petco. I still intend on being a resource in the community in regards to helping with any troubles your tanks may incur. By all means, feel free to send me a message or add me as a friend on here! I truly love interacting with all the friendly people I’ve come to meet after moving to the area late last fall. What a great reef society! If anyone is interested or know anyone that is interested, I will also be providing Aquarium Maintenance Services now that it doesn’t conflict with my former employers services.

Good luck with your tanks! /DesktopModules/ActiveForums/themes/_default/emoticons/biggrin.gif

Sorry to hear you're leaving. Your WAY above average Petco saltwater section was my reprieve when my wife wants to go to Old Navy.

Bummer but glad you will continue to dabble/DesktopModules/ActiveForums/themes/_default/emoticons/biggrin.gif I'll spread the word whenever possible about the tank maintenance. Will you also be doing 'tank sitting'?....Going in to homes while family is away to do things like feed fish, topoff, etc? See you on and Kelsey on the 31st!

Thank you for all of the support /DesktopModules/ActiveForums/themes/_default//emoticons/smile.gif Actually, yes I will. Along with maintenance, I will also be doing Tank Sitting and Aquarium Set Up too. At some point I may even start to aquaculture man-made live rock from scratch. Ultimately, some time down the road, our goal is to also have a table at frag swaps and help teach newcomers to the hobby about successful reef keeping /DesktopModules/ActiveForums/themes/_default//emoticons/biggrin.gif We look forward to helping! See you soon!
