They closed their doors one day. I guess this economy caught up to them.

Someone else actually started a thread today and asked the same question. Check that out, but the answer is Adams and Iowa Pet Food and Supply. Been there done that I'll bet. Still have frags if you want them.

My understanding was a multitude of lawsuites because of their "puppy mill" pups for sale...

wasnt that ancient history... and was the issue specific to this location or the company as a whole?

I am simply going with what i recently (last month or so) heard on the news. Something like 6 dogs were very ill or sick that that specific location sold which was tracked back to bad breeders. They had issues before, they didn't fix them (apparently) and now they have tons of legal fees. Again, I do not personally know any of the workers, owners, managers, etc. so I am going with what was on the local news.

You woould have thought they cleaned up their act but guess not..... that said I did hear sometime ago that they had issued a check back to a customer for a 'guarantee' on a dog that had lots of problem and the check did not clear, it was 'inside info'. It is specific to this location there are plenty of good Petlands out there.
