It's fine to discuss the point, but I think that everyone should keep things to the situation at hand and not resort to name calling. I think it's pretty clear that there was a mistaken impression due to lack of signage and placement of the quarantine tank. Putting a fish like this along with the rest of your fish that you're selling without appropriate signage to indicate what's going on is just asking for someone to get a mistaken impression. Not everyone is comfortable approaching management about an issue like that, or maybe they weren't available. I commend Pet's Playhouse for doing what they can to rehabilitate this fish and look forward to seeing pictures of the healing process.

We can discuss difficult topics while still being respectful and not resorting to name calling.

I'm going to agree aj but at the same time I think he could of avoided alot of it by simply apologizing. I know alot of people try to avoid confrontation and thats great but apologizing for error is one thing even white trash like me knows.

 

That's funny, u was there today also and he refered to himself as white trash, I agreed and then he made fun of me and my buddy cause we both shave our heads and wear carhart coats. We all had a good chuckle. He's awesome

I hear what you're saying Nick.  I can't comment on how lehrjet handled the situation as there may be factors in play that I'm not aware of, but being aware of the factors as listed in this thread, if I had made that mistake, I believe that I would have posted a response of some sort.

Just saw this thread. To think that pic was taken about a week or 2 after the fish first apeared in the store. When I first saw it the fish was all white could hardly even see any black markings on it.

I think any hobbiest that knows the LFS and the staff in your area would understand what they are trying to do, IF they bring a rescue fish or any animal into the store. I would also like to know How many Private LFS stores out there Have quarantine Tank set aside for every rescue they do.

As to Nicky pooh being white trash, he can only be how he was raised and how he is treated now

 

I have been going in there and everytime I goto see Nick. He has always helped me woth anything Ive needed and the service has been good. I think this is bs one person goes in there and jumps the gun about something they have no clue about. The person that started this is an idiot to have started this!! If you have a problem with a place thats why you have an option to go take your business someplace else. This was stupid.

 

What is stupid is you resorting to name calling even after it was pointed out that we could discuss this like adults without resorting to name calling.

Look I'm not mad at anyone else here. But honestly how does this guy have a right to go into someones place and secretly photo something?? I have never said anything bad on here in 3 years. But honestly this guy should be removed from the club. Its obvious many do not support what he did.

Im all for the club and need to pay membership fee. And for the board I think they do a great job. Its just irritating there hasnt been an apology.

 

Thanks for the support guys but I must agree with the politics here. I must admit I was upset with original post and no response from lehrejet. Whats done is done and there is no going back. There has been more drama in the club this year alone then all the years ive been on here combined. I would like to also have this thread removed for the sake of the club and hate to say it but with how things have been going have talks of mods keeping a over watch. I know nobody wants this and im sure reef central didnt either but once again evolution might have to take place just to help eliminate any drama to help the club like it once was.

 

First i want too say i am really disappointed in some of the comments left here, it really should of never gone this far.   person went into a pet store and saw what he felt was a neglected animal took a photo of it and quietly left the store to alert us of what he thought was poor husbandry of a fish store.  I thought that was something we all do and have many times seen thread exactly like this in the past.  Now Nik comes on and says wait a sec we are rehabbing this fish and it is all put straight and at which point I was hoping for a thread that evolved into a journal on how this fish was coming along.
   The guy made a mistake and some of you are ready to lynch him for it.
 Anyway I have much more i wold like to add but I feel the best approach at this point is to simply lock the thread since rather then evolving it has disappointingly come down to name calling and worse.
