I recently got a rkl. And had no problems setting it up but when I try to calibrate the the ph probe nothing happens. The numbers on the right that you are suppose to wait for to bounce between just one or two numbers and then it should be calibrated for that ph solution, my number do not move at all for either the 7.0 or the 10.0 solution. It is always just stuck on -559 but I unplug it and try it again the number will be a little different like -561 but never fluctuates up or down. Am I doing something wrong or did I get a bad probe?

I'm going to throw the obvious question out there but did you remove the protective cap off the probe?

Did you buy it new or used? If the probe is left out of water and dries out then it's ruined.

It's brand new from BRS. Got it a week ago and set it up today. It had liquid in cap still and yes I removed cap.

It is also the sl2 module not the sl1 that I am using if that matters.

Just don't call Digital Aquatics. You'll get voice mail every time. They prefer e mail support. Went back and forth with them to get ALC replaced that I bought through BRS. They finally sent one after I gave proof of purchase and a credit card number. That way they could Bill me if it was my fault it broke.

Just following up. I got new ph probe and works fine. But from what I read digital aquatics customer service over the phone was suppose to be horrible. But I had to call 2 different times and both times they answered right away. It was very easy to make a claim and get new probe. I had a very good experience with their customer service.
