It is sooooooo much easier to buy the frozen stuff from Reed now. It is much higher quality and cheaper in the long run.

What are you using it for?

can i get more info on the Reed?

wouldnt frozen phyto be dead? and lose most of its nutritional value?

when i cultured before it only cost me my initial buy of the algae disks. after that it was just using my empty 2l bottles. granted i had way more phyto then i needed. but ended up passing it a long when i got too much.

my question was to see who cultures, what type, why, and their methods of doing it. or the alternatives to it.

at this moment i have no need for it. but my used would simply be feeding the tank and to feed rotifers and other live foods if i were ever have to.
