Anybody have a good way to get rid of pineapple sponges? Every time I turn my return pumps off and back on it blows out tons of pieces of sponges. My tank looks like a snow globe. Does anyone know of anything that is reef safe or have you invented some kind of special tool that cleans out return lines???

You could probably use a pipe cleaner with softer bristles. I've never cleaned my return though. Still seems okay after almost 3 years! Pineapple sponges seem to come and go over time depending on nutrient load.
