I need to know what eats those little pesky starfish...i was told Calfo said the tank will regulate itself but i need to intervene with this 1. I bought 2 Harliquine shrimp a couple weeks ago and they just aren't getting the job done. These pests are all over my rock and i've found them on a couple of my sps.
Are there any fish or other reefers that consume them?

As far as I know it is only the harlequins, but I don't think the starfish actually harm anything either.

The starfish eat the coraline algea and the harlequins are the only thing that eat them. Give the harlequins some time and you will notice a significant decrease. You will always have some in your tank as they live in the substrate. We had 1 in our 125 and we keep swapping the harlequin back and forth from the 125 to the 90 about every 4-6 months. This seems to work for us. Note that you will not see a huge difference in a short period of time though.

The white small starfish are eatin by a harlequin shrimp...the small brown starfish with a red dot on them live in the sand and that is what Anthony was talking about. Them do not harm corals they live in the sand and are very helpful. But I had a million white small ones in my tanks and 1 harlequin took care of them in a about 3 weeks.
