I have been doing a ton of research and I am just curious if anyone has experience with building a plywood tank. I will be putting up a new wall in the basement to make another bedroom and I thought hell it would be a great time to make a plywood tank. Initial thoghts on the size is roughly 96"x36"x30" so around 450 gallons. So any thoughts or experiences would be great and appreciated.

Matt (ninjazx77) made a really nice about that size. Looked and worked great! Search through his build thread and you will see it.

Read all you can, take the advice of those that have done it successfully, and don't skimp on materials.

I have no experience, but I remember a disaster of a thread on RC where an individual decided to build a plywood tank. Instead of following good, sound advice he went his own way. He clearly wasn't a carpenter or even someone with much common sense. It was entertaining to say the least, and I'm pretty sure ended in a complete failure.

Didn't that tank spring a leak at some point?
