You might try clearing our cookies as it may be similar to the iOS cookie issue.

The script that handles all of that came straight from Tapatalk's kit, but I'll take a look at it tonight to see if I can spot anything that might cause weird cookie issues.

No one is saying the problems shouldn't be brought up, because they absolutely should. There's just right and wrong ways to bring up problems to a guy that's busting his *** to help out this community and getting no compensation in return. I'd say this one was not approched in the best manner by the OP.

Frankly, I don't feel like I approached this poorly. I made a request, with a specific complaint. I called a pop up advertisement that appeared every time I went to a differing page spam. I stand by that description. Instead of immediately saying "well, that is not the behavior it should have, lets look into it." everyone behaved badly for half a page of posts. At the end, we had possible solutions, people saying that things worked the same or differently, and opinions on Tapatalk. As a note, the proposed solution of clearing cookies does not change the behavior of the website. It will still pop up a new tapatalk dialog box each time I navigate to a new page.

ya my bad if I offended any one.
but I spoke to soon cause clearing cookies didn't work very long.
everytime I look at new forum post it "pops up" again.

You posted an issue, and then JB responded on how it was supposed to function. No problem yet. You then divulged more infomation about your application and settings, and said you weren't about to do anything on your end that may solve the situation, then went on about how this was being pushed on you, and was making it less likely for you to use the site and participate in the club. It seemed to me like you didn't like the fact that he didn't immediately remove it per your request. You got a little pissy with your response. Whether intentional or not it was read that way.

People threatening to not renew memberships and not participate in the club over stupid petty BS like this gets old, and those of us that bust our asses to help out this club take it very personal. I am sure JB was feeling the same way when he posted his next response.

So yes, you did approach it poorly.

I'll bet I know what's going on. They probably aren't setting the path on the cookie. This would explain why it's working in some cases and not in others. If that's the case, it's an easy fix. I'll take a look at it in a bit.

Try it now. I changed the script so that it sets the cookie path and I'm not seeing any strange behavior even when toggling private browsing.

Note that you may want to clear your cache/cookies just to make sure you're getting the new version of everything.

All Better! It pops up once, upon first opening the site, but not after that, regardless of clearing cache or otherwise.

    Thanks
