Sorry for the super crappy pics but im not sure if its due to my heavy feeding (4 pea size pieces of brine mash) but the larger clown has a super swollen belly.

Nope. Peppermint. Took two mushrooms off the rocks and managed to snag my firefish in mid swim. It got away

Looks like over feeding to me. Peperment shrimp do not eat live fish. They are a scavenger. I would make sure it is what you say it is. Camel back shrimp maybe.

Looks like a peppermint to me... you can key species with the couple links below... (and yes I've had peppermints not camels, that are that aggressive- just pending on species).

    AS FOR THE CLOWN:
    1. overfeeding
    2. pregnant
    3. dropsy

I'd wait it out for a couple of days, with food cut back a bit, if she lays- wamo, there's your answer... if she's just over eating, keeping the food to a minimum will help resolve any gut overload or compaction.

    hope that helps.

Do you think if I got another peppermint shrimp would that tone the one I have down? The one I have I believe ate all the apstasia so I would like to keep him but not if he's going to try and hunt my other fish

you could.. not sure how well it will 'tame' him... but I try and always keep mine in groups of 5+ (but that's more for breeding purposes, than behavioral!)

but they make great additions to cuc, (except if they attack fish.... lol).

Id love 5 but that might be a tad overkill in a 29 biocube. Lol
