wow! It amazes me that what were considered "mis-barrs" several years ago, have been cross bred and turned into designer products.

Does anybody know if there are co-oberative gene studies on these loci? I need to do some research.....and become a millionare

Yeah no %$#@! Elliot, Adam and I were talking about that. I'm so pissed to have put so much time and effort into that place for 6 years and have it totally collapse after just 6 months having been gone. Pathetic, Ron (owner of petland) views the fish dept as nothing but an attraction. I hope he chokes on it.
For the record, we think the guy knew what he was doing and sold them as Tomato clowns to "give the guy a deal." I used to give people deals, but never anything on that level!!! And I at least had the common sense to take inventory out of the computer!

Trust me the guy didnt know what they were he was just reading the red writting on the glass and trying to sell some fish.  I couldnt believe it myself it was kinda unreal that the guy working in the fish department didnt know his stuff or at least what a tomato clown looks like.

Despite my feelings towards to owner of that establishment, I hope you realize that, that is basically stealing and isn't exactly ethical. My bankrupt sense of morality commends you, my ethical sense of compassion condemns you. I certainly wouldn't talk about it here on the forums, and I would try to maintain some sense of shame/humility about the ordeal. What if the members of the community and moderators flogged you for your ignorance in some endeavor? What if you lost your job because of it?

Or its a really great deal.. Its not the customers fault that that place or any fish store doesnt train their employees

Sorry guys, this is pretty shady, subjective, and when it comes down to it, it really is basically wrong. Ask Craig how he would feel if somebody took advantage of one of his employees. Again, what if moderators and other users flogged you for your ignorance concerning some facet of reef keeping. There are a lot of newbies out there and they don't deserve to be taken advantage of simply because of their inexperience. Even uneducated employees learn and grow with their job provided an opportunity.

This sort of thing just happens in the hobby. It is not much different than when a store gets a fish in say some generic wrasse, then they get it and I walk in to discover that it is actually a very rare fish. Neither the wholesaler nor store caught it. When dealing with animals that don't have labels directly on them, this sort of thing will always happen.

kinda pissed me off to that andy put his two cents in and locked the thread. Im not sorry for petland one bit for what happned first of all because every dog sold from there has issues and is way overpriced. Second you shoulnt have help that works on commission for everything they sell and third if your gonna have a pet store with a fish department the people working in it should be knowledgable enough to answer questions that me the consumer might have. Think about it if you wanted a plumber your not gonna call a electrician, not saying the electrician couldnt do the job but the plumber is gonna know alot more about what the heck he is doing.

I agree with this statement but I understand Andy's point of view. I been to petland few time. I wasn't very please with them. Honest with employee can educate them to improve their knowledge would have been a lot better way than taking advantage of them. I would be straight forward and honest with them. I know its nice to buy cheap but remember when things goes around, it comes around.

That is completely a tangent, deflecting from the underlying ethical properties of the matter at hand.
I don't care how pissed off you guys are about my actions. I locked the thread because I foresaw that there were perhaps legal implications about the admissions being divulged in a public forum. Turns out, you're the only person responsible for your actions, and I was advised to allow you to go ahead and incriminate yourself.
I stand by my assessment of the situation morally. YOU TOOK ADVANTAGE OF SOMEBODY. I'm not defending Petland, you think I don't have MAJOR F#$ing issues with things I've witnessed in their service, you don't think I have MAJOR F@#%ing issues with the owners disdain for my service after 6 years? Think again.
If your so fundamentally juxtaposed to Petland, then don't shop there, ever, whether or not you think you can take advantage of them. Despite your recent experience, they actually have a couple of guys on staff who DO know their stuff, we're a dying breed in that establishment, the only thing that keeps those two going is a lack of better options, and a sense of responsibility for a number of animals in their care. (animals that will admittedly be neglected to death in their absence). Which is why I've long time petitioned for the end of establishments like Petland, while simultaneously working for them.
I'm defending the fundamental principal that people shouldn't take advantage of one another. Apparently however you guys have no scruples. Don't expect my pity in your misfortunes.
I'm sorry if I don't subscribe to the social paradigms associated with modern capitalism, my first reflex toward others isn't automatically, "he's just s a dumb sucker so....fk 'em," and "if your dumb enough to be taken advantage of you deserve it."
And that type of high minded moral sophistication is worth much more than 2 cents. Idealist perhaps, and despite my fatalist/cynicism at core, I haven't lost faith in all of humanity.
