I have a 29g biocube and want a good protien skimmer.  Something easy to setup and maintain.  Any suggestions?
    Thanks

Tunze has a nice skimmer that will work for these. Are you running the stock lid? If so you will want to check out the inTank upgraded cup that allows you to run it with a lid. There was a company making skimmers specifically for this application but has closed up shop so hard to find them. My suggestion is hit up nano-reef.com and do some searching on there and check out the classifieds. Might be able to score a good price on a used tunze or something else.

I just bought the Tunze 9002. Other options were the CPR SR3, and the Saphfire BC29. I went with the tunze cause of price and size. I actually ordered the Saphfire first, because they had a recirculating model, but found out they went out of business. The CPR SR3 is bigger and would take up most of the middle compartment.

If i go with the Tunze 9002 does it mean i can't have a fuge in the middle chamber?  what is the best way to set up this system.  I noticed with the in-tank video it won't allow me to have cheato in the fuge.  I appreciate the help.

I have cheato in the first chamber of my BC29. I just tore all the padding of one of the stock filters to contain it and use 2 5watt submersible halogens to light it. It works great! Also if you are using the stock lid you will notice the 9002's cup won't alow the lid to close, you can get a custom made StevieT lid which allows the lid to close.

I have been looking for the custom Stevie T cup, but can't find where to order it at. Is there a website for it?

There are supposed to make it so the water has to move down through the column of media. I have heard many people liking them and having no problems. And ya they can hold chaeto in place
