Pump for WC`s?

    What would be a good pump that could efficiently get water from a 20g tub up to a 90g tank whose upper edge is approximately 4.5" up? Looking for something to do it quickly, will live a long time, but not so overpowered that it'll be pushing water too fast into the tank to potentially cause damage to any future corals.

    I use a Rio bump for this, and I just have to dump in the last big of water that the pump can't get pick up. It works pretty well! I can't remember which Rio model I have though. It's a bit stronger than it needs to be, I think.

    I think she was meaning as a return pump from her sump. I am currently using a Rio but will be going to an external as soon as I get the motiviation to finish my fish room. My sump used to be under my tank but now it is located about 15 feet away and the pump still gets the water there. I can check the model tonight if you like.

    Shayna had the right idea. I already have a return pump that is hooked up. I was looking for an additional pump that I can stash away except for when I'm doing water changes.

    Either way, you both seem to like Rio. Let me know what models you have so I can check it out some more /DesktopModules/ActiveForums/themes/_default//emoticons/smile.gif Thanks guys!!

    Oh I see. I have a Rio for that purpose as well. I will let you know tonight which models I have.

    Don't feel stupid /DesktopModules/ActiveForums/themes/_default//emoticons/smile.gif There are a lot of those on here and I miss most of them. WC is really the only one I use.
