Will be returning to Jen and Ray

Going to try and post of my numbers under a AI prime
    about 10 inches above tank
Measured at 6 inches and 12 inches directly below and about 6 inches off to the side.

those numbers seem a little low.
Never messed with the prime before, but I did have AI sol blues on my tank for awhile and IIRC they were much higher PAR than those. I wonder if its narrow beam reflectors the sol blues had that made the big difference.

We will be testing and comparing it someone else's parameter .
Thinking it might have to be recalibrated.

We sent all the PAR meters into Apogee to get upgraded so that they would properly sense LED spectrum, so there isn't really a "calibration" that needs to be done to any of the PAR meters.

I believe that you do have to multiply your results by 1.32 in order to account for immersion, that is described in this article by Apogee:

Underwater PAR Measurements | Apogee Instruments

They have the MQ510 which automatically accounts for this but I do not believe that we have this version - we upgraded all the meters from the MQ200 to the MQ500 when they were offering a discounted upgrade program.

I thank you for that information. That wasn't what I asked I wanted to know if anybody has used them since they were updated as you put it.

I had used the par meter in the past to check my Sol Blues so I had an idea what those numbers should be under those lights and it was not even 25% of what it read before.

From reading multiple reviews on what the AI Prime light should read. It only read 100 par directly under the light and my light was at a hundred percent. The light was no more than 12 inches above the water and the par meter was no more than 4 inches into the water. I really did not believe those to be correct also at that time.

@Eric McIllece@Eric McIllece here is the thread I was referring to, you can check out the CR meter also as long as you can get it back there when you're done

Also the club equipment is only available to dues-paying members, so if you want to use either meter, membership is a requirement.

@Ray/Jen_Reefin@Ray/Jen_Reefin has the meter (Ray & Jen Milem)

@Eric McIllece@Eric McIllece - Usage of the par meter is a benefit for dues paying members. So if you want to use it, membership is required.

@Ray/Jen_Reefin@Ray/Jen_Reefin - do you have the par meter now?
