    Ah. got ya.

Unless you've already QT'd every introduction to your system, and treated it, whether it's corals/frags/hermits/algae/rocks, i'm guessing your tank already has ich. Most tanks do IMO. Ich is only a problem when the fish's immune systems are compromised, be it stress, poor water quality, etc.

I know my tank has ich in it, but my fish are healthy. It's obviously up to you, but I think your efforts are better focused on keeping fish stress levels low and diet quality high. Just my 2 cents.

If ich is the concern you could do TTM to speed things along with them rather than waiting a whole 10-11 weeks. TTM doesn't do anything for fish with marine velvet, uronemia, flukes, etc... but I would think it would be quite unlikely for any of these to hitch a ride on the water transferred with an invert.

Whats your method when you buy inverts for the main display?

I have a separate 29g fishless observation tank set up where I'll hold them for 8 weeks to make sure they don't carry velvet. I realize a fallow period is longer for ich but that's not my top concern.
