Tip Quoting a post with pictures

I came across a tweak that is nice. The default XF way of doing things when you quote someone's post where an attachment is included (one that is uploaded, not a photobucket link) is to show that as a link that you have to click to see the pic.

Super annoying.

But, that's fixed. Now it include the pic in the quoted area.

One of the things about XF though is that it compresses a quoted post, so if someone quotes a post with 10 pics, the compressed quite only shows a snippet of it unless you click the link to expand it.

What is more annoying, to me, is if you quote the post and cut it down to one pic that you wanted to comment on or ask about, but that pic doesn't show up. Forcing everyone to click the link for the attachment and view it in another tab/window. Then, if you wanted to share someone else's attachment as a viewable pic, you can't without downloading the pic and re-attaching it to your post. This leads to duplicate attachments

 

It compresses based on the view, so on my phone, it compresses. On desktop it allows a larger snippet (responsive)
