What would be a good Carbon reactor for a 125gl set up?

I'd just get the ones from bulk reef supply.

Not sure what you are asking here. The reactor itself doesn't need to be in your sump.

I've always used the BRS ones. I've had both the single and dual and liked both. They are built very sturdy.

The reactors on BRS all have different depths...one says 3 1/2 inches another is 4 ...does it matter what size?

These are what I believe mthomp was reffering to. http://www.bulkreefsupply.com/brs-g...ingle.html

I think what you are reading with the 3 1/2 in and 4" is chamber diameter on the reef octopus reactors. A larger diameter will obviously hold more media for larger tanks. Just the standard BRS single reactor should suit your needs just fine.
