I currently have a 75 gallon tank sitting in my main floor against the wall in a two story house with finished basement, build in 2000. I'm thinking about upgrading to a Red Sea 450 aquarium which is about 120+/- gallon tank or to a 125 gallon tank.

Do you think it's safe or should I hire someone to inspect the flooring? If so, do you know anybody that does it for a living? Otherwise, I could upgrade it to a 90-93 gallon tank to be in the safe side.

    Thoughts?

I think you would be fine - particularly if the tank runs perpendicular to the floor joists. We had a 210 (with a 40 gallon sump) in our old house for several years without issue.

    That's good to hear. Thanks.
