I want to get a red sea skimmer  deluxe but would like everyones input.  I have a 5 gallon nano and will be going up to an 11 gallon gla tank soon.  Will this skimmer be good and is it a reliable skimmer.  Like it for its  no pump in tank and surface skimmer qualities . would like real world input please.  Thanks again

I know the tunze is well regarded. I have personally been happy with my cpr bakpak 2, although I know many, even in this club, think that is junk too. With som minimal mods (adding a maxijet 1200 w/ venturi) you should get really good skimming. They rate it for up to 55g. With the mod I would keep it at up to 40g myself.

The nice thing about the cpr is that you can put things into the return side such as a drip doser, probes, heather, a bag with some carbon, mangroves, chaeto.

Ok found an aquamaxx hob 1. It's 200 bucks but it looks great and the ratings seem good any thoughts?
