My intention is to have a tang heavy display tank all said and done.  I want to make sure that before i have the tangs added I have the other fish in that I want.  I really like wrasses, anyone have experience or reccomendations on good wrasses to keep with SPS?  I don't want the common six line etc, that you see in every tank I want some higher end stuff that you cant just walk into every pet store and buy every day.
    Eventually I will have:
    Purple Tang
    Powder Brown
    Desjardini Sailfin
    Possibly a naso
The tank is a 180 display.
    Other inhabitants are
    3 green chromis (small)
    1 firefish
    1 picasso clown
    All 3 are small
    THanks

Take your pick....Aquacon has quite the variety. My favorites would have to be the blue flasher, labout's fairy, and scott's fairy. /DesktopModules/ActiveForums/themes/_default//emoticons/smile.gif

Actually its mcCosker's flasher wrasse. If you do get more than one make sure you add them all at the same time otherwise they will fight to the death. When i added mine i had a six line wrasse which is reef safe but it killed several of the mcCoskers within a couple hours. Both are great reef safe fish but i like my mcCoskers wrasse the best

Halochores Melenarus is a great wrasse, sometimes in the trade called a rainbow wrasse they are gorgeous and for the most part reef safe. They do eat bristleworms, acoel worms and probably other types of flat worms too. However they are also opportunistic feeders and if not fed well they will eat a cleaner shrimp, or pick off a snail or two. They will straight devour a fire shrimp (that was a 40 dollar lesson) and peppermints are toast. I've kept cleaner shrimp alive with them for more than 2 years. But I've also witnessed (my rather large specimen) posturing aggressively, and on two occasions I've gone on vacation and come home and found that the cleaner shrimp were missing.

But for me, he's a fish worth loving no matter how onery he can be. He's just too damn pretty to be angry with for long! He's definitely the most unique fish in my tank.
