Does anyone in the DSM area have a refractometer that I can borrow for a bit. I am planning do a hyposalinity treatment to cure an ich outbreak.

    Thanks.

Just curious, how do you check your salinity when you preform water changes?
    They're really not very expensive.

I currently use a hydrometer, but I have read that a refractometer would be a better choice as it need to be at exactly 1.008 to kill the ich but not the fish.

I see, you probably know this but just in case, when you go to Hypo your fish you will need to bring the salinity down over time, don't go from 1.025 or what ever you keep your tank at to 1.008 instantly.
Good luck- Ich is a PITA!
