I can only do quick reply from my work computer. Is anybody else having this issue? My guess is that it is a company filter but wanted to check with the group.

Mine is the same way. The script the reply page runs freezes IE and I get a popup asking to kill the script. I figured it was because we haven't upgraded our IE version yet. Our security requirements mean we are always behind on versions.

There is a "website" forum for you to post these issues. Please post there so JB can be sure to see it. Please be as specific as possible with an explanation of the problem, the device and browser you are using when the problem occurs.

My only suggestion would be to try ditching IE since it seems to be the most common browser associated with problems on this site.

Windows 7 using IE 8. Popup saying:

    "Stop running this script?

A script on this page is causing your web browser to run slowly. If it continues to run your computer may become unresponsive."

Options of "Yes" and "No" are available.

If using win 7 you should be running IE10, try upgrading and seeing if that fixes it. I run Firefox and no issues. I'll have to try IE8 on my XP machine

I also see this issue when running IE8 on XP.

IE8 is the last release that is (and will be) available for use on XP. Is is very outdated and should really not be used, for anything, at all, ever. Really. Not kidding.

It does seem to be an issue with IE8 on XP. I'm guessing that there are people who can only use that particular combination of software, at work for instance. I'm not sure how easy this would be to fix. I would highly recommend using anything other than IE though. That really goes for IE10 also by the way. JMO.

Unfortunately, I cannot upgrade IE on my work computer. I work for a very large company and security is of great concern, so by the time the security measures are in place for the newer version, it is quite dated. /DesktopModules/ActiveForums/themes/_default/emoticons/blush.gif

I also have to get access granted to add any additional software to my PC, which is kind of a pain. Really, I've gotten used to it and can only use the quick reply option while on my work computer. New threads would get started at home, where I only use Chrome, with no problems. /DesktopModules/ActiveForums/themes/_default/emoticons/smile.gif

Just got this issue in Chrome.

Could only do the quick reply. When I try to do a reply, or start a new thread the message box with the editor options just never showed up. Cleared the cache and it started worrking again.

For everyone having this problem, while you are at the window in which the editor is supposed to load and it doesn't, hit CTRL + F5. This should force a re-load of the page and overwrite any old files in the cache, which may be causing the problem.

If everyone can try this on the browser you have had problems with and report back if this resolved the issue or not that would be much appreciated.

I can already report that this does not work on IE8 on Win XP. It helped a bit, the editor toolbar now loads, but the text entry window will not load and I get a yellow ! triangle with either "Done" or "Done, but with errors" etc in the lower left corner of the page.

This is the case for add new topic or add reply - exactly the same problem

Did ctrl + F5 several times, also went into options and cleared everything - including saved data - then had to re-log in, problem still persisting.

I'm going to guess anyone running IE8 is just SOL. I don't see this getting fixed for non-supported browsers.

Time to change browsers or upgrade. And for those on work computers that can't, I guess you'll actually have to get some work done during the day instead of creating new topics on your favorite forum LOL.

Just FYI and for future reference.

I was having a lot of issues with replying today. Quick reply worked fine, but the editing box wasn't showing up and only showed a link to "Refresh Editor." I'm using Chrome, and it's the latest version.

Clicking the refresh link didn't do any good, and neither did Ctrl+F5. I went in to "Tools" and cleared the cache and cookies. It did the trick, and all is well. This is my home computer, it still won't work at work. /DesktopModules/ActiveForums/themes/_default/emoticons/rolleyes.gif
