Does anyone in CR have experience resealing tanks? I've never had to but now I have a 75 gallon that leaks in one corner. Just need some advice.

I had put some thought into a group out mint Terribillis. I already have 8 species of dart frogs so I'm going to go in a direction. I have always wanted a FOWLR so that's what I'm going to do. I'm tIred of spending money on Coral only to have a faulty heater destroy everything.

I may need some help drilling the tank and configuring a "Herbie" drain system.

It will have to be empty to reseal it properly. The old silicone will not bond to the new silicone, so the whole corner will need to be razored out or siliconed completely wide over. Depending on where it is (in a front panel?) you might instead elect to razor the corner out and then clean it with isopropyl alcohol. Then proceed to lay a bead of silicone and smooth it out with your finger or a thin piece of cardboard or something.

Do I need to completely separate the two pains of glass or should I leave the existing silicone just in the crack between the two, and then silicone the corners?

You can leave the silicone in the seam as long as the new silicone span the width of it, essentially creating a barrier between the water and and that seam entirely.

Not sure if it was said, but use painters tape on both sides of seam and you will get a nice edge.
