My system has been up for 10 years now. I'm still running the same return pump since day 1 - a MagDrive 7. Its been a solid pump. I've replaced the impeller a couple times and the impeller cover once. Its also been quiet. But, I'm having problems again with it and I think it is time for it to be replaced. I'm probably going to order another MagDrive 7, but thought I'd see if anyone has any other recommendations of something that they really like........

I really like my Jebao DC 3000 pump so far. I'm sure the DC 6000 functions similarly. I'm going to be using a Rio 2500 as my 75 gal return pump until I need to replace it and will probably get one of the 6000s.

I run a Mag 7 on my return pump and one on my skimmer love'em, If you run a Mag for 10 years why would you want anything different? Also have you made it to the Lucky Bamboo yet?

That was pretty much what I was thinking - but thought that I would at least throw the question out there.....

We run Water Blasters. Do not have 10 years on them like you do your Mag, but so far do good and silent.

Stick with the Mag. No need for any plumbing changes, etc. If needed, you will have parts for it :0) Mag's rock!

Thanks for the replys. I went with the Mag drive 7. It should be here tomorrow. The current pump is still running. But when I power it off, it doesn't always want to come back on until I fiddle with it alot......
