   I just bought a "new" used reef set-up.  I love it!  It is a 180 with a 40 gallon sump.  My only issue is now that i have it up and running the return pump (Blue Line Aquatics model 70) seems to be a very loud pump.  Does anyone have experience with these pumps or could someone make a reccomendation to replace it with a quite one?  Thanks!

   Loud is a bit subjective. I have a gen-x and many people on forums complain that it is loud. Frankly, it doesn't bother me. I think the most highly regarded pumps in terms for quietness would be the Iwakis with Japanese motor.

   The Reeflo pumps are considered to be very quiet too, but they are too big for what you're looking for. That is a big pump...you may want to try a smaller pump...
