Was hoping to find something other than the usual bright green, maybe not just ricordea but does anyone know of anything similar? I love the mix of bubbly and smooth texture with lots of natural florescence without needing actinic boosts.

There will be rics at SpringFest. I will probably have blue, orange and maybe some other shrooms. I have a pink and green ric but it's a slow grower;9( Someday hope to sell its offspring at the Fests. I also have a rare shroom that just split but it's in my other tank now. Someday will sell this high end shroom...here's a sneak peek:

Terri, I'm first in line for that shroom!!!!

Why don't you take a razor blade to it and self propogate it? They reproduce much faster that way. I've seen a Reef Central thread a while back where a guy took a single Ricordea Florida and put it in a blender and gave it a quick pulse chop and turned one ric into about 20. He even had time lapse pics showing them healing. I've taken razors to mine to propagate them and it's very easy and they heal faster and faster each time.

If you felt bad about the razor blade you could always take a rubber band and let it split itself with applied pressure. No cutting needed just a rubber band wound just enough! Cuz I would buy that shroom in a heartbeat. If there is already a dibs placed I call the second.

Thanks Donny! It's my pride and joy/DesktopModules/ActiveForums/themes/_default/emoticons/biggrin.gif When I got it a couple/few years ago, I was told there were only 2 of them in the States...the one guy I bought it from and the one I got. I fell in love with it immediately! I talked for about 1/2 hour trying to convince the guy to sell it to me. He was using this one for propagation...until I convinced him to sell it to me./DesktopModules/ActiveForums/themes/_default/emoticons/w00t.gif He told me where it originitated from but I can't remember, naturally/DesktopModules/ActiveForums/themes/_default/emoticons/sick.gif He said it was a Warty Mushroom but when I've looked online, I haven't seen one that comes to close to it! I wish I could find its origin online. Several people whom have seen it, think that its a nem/DesktopModules/ActiveForums/themes/_default/emoticons/hehe.gif The 'warts' bubble and get quite large all around its edge. The baby is about 1". Before splitting, the momma was about 4-5" large. I call her "Terri's Treat"! /DesktopModules/ActiveForums/themes/_default/emoticons/wow.gif

I have no intention of using a razor or blender on the baby. With it's rarity and high price (/DesktopModules/ActiveForums/themes/_default/emoticons/whistling.gif), I couldn't risk losing it to disease/infection. If there is another clone in the future, I will probably begin propagating them. Hope to spread the love/DesktopModules/ActiveForums/themes/_default/emoticons/biggrin.gif lol

Oh my Adam! There might be a big fight with others over it/DesktopModules/ActiveForums/themes/_default/emoticons/rolleyes.gif I wouldn't put any living thing in a blender/DesktopModules/ActiveForums/themes/_default/emoticons/sick.gif Maybe some year for using a razor/DesktopModules/ActiveForums/themes/_default/emoticons/ermm.gif

I'd use a razor before a rubber band...more humane imo and less chance for infection/disease. It took forever for me to get it from the guy but I have been so very happy that I was very persistent at convincing him. You'll have to get in line.../DesktopModules/ActiveForums/themes/_default/emoticons/laugh.gif
