I hooked up a 4 stage RODI unit in my shower in the laundry room since it is never used. I put in new filters for the unit and used a piercing valve on the cold water line. I decided to hook it up in the shower because it is only 5 foot away from my tank, as opposed to another level of the house. I am only getting 10 gallons/day from the unit and it is rated for 75 gpd. I am wondering if pressure is the issue. I don't have a gauge, and I am thinking it may just be easier to move the RODI unit down to where the main water line comes into the house. Any other ideas of what might be causing the low output?

It could be the piercing valve. I had constant problems with mine until I switched it out with a normal valve. They tend to bet plugged up and can't produce enough volume at the correct pressure. That's the first place I'd look for problems...

    Good luck!

It could also be the cold water mine is the same way. They are made to have water in the mid 70s ran through them cold water slows them down alot.

I'm with Jason on this one...those piercing valves can be problematic. I would run it back all the way down again (make sure you get as large a hole as possible, then back it almost all the way out. If you're concerned about water pressure, you can get a guage from AWI for about $15 I think.

another option is to get a faucet adapter attach it to the shower head neck.
