I will make you a hell of a deal.

I can meet you in Center Point sometime, or you can come all the way up & check out my tanks. (I live in La Porte City)

You join the club & become an active member & I will sell you one for $40. If not they are $75.

I hate to hijack this post, but do you guys have any suggestions for an affordable, semi-tough anemone that would be good for clowns to host in, and would be ok in a 29g tank? Is the RBTA an approriate choice? I have read some things that suggest it doesnt take well to being host to clowns....

Jay, The bubble tips are fine as long as the clowns are not too big and aggressive.

Xroads, What do I need to do to join the group? How far is La Porte City?

On the top home bar there is a button that says Join GIRS. Click that and it will guide you through.

Well sweet, how many do you have? Maybe we can talk on the phone and figure out if what you have will work with my clowns and setup? Thanks !

    Hey Jay,

What kinds of clowns do you have? Each kind of clown is compatible with a different kind of nem.

Also just because they are compatible does not mean they will host in it.

La porte city is about 45 miles north of Hiawatha.

Yep hit join GIRS. Then also attend club events, there is usually one in each area every month. They are well worth the time & I get alot out of them.

I have two false percs that are still young, roughly 1.5" long and I have two of the true onyx/black and white from the Kirklins that are about .5" to .75" long in another tank. For now I would be interested in getting one for the false percs that are in my biocube.

Well guys I have had Maroons in my brown bubble tip anenome for 5 years they were huge mom 5 inch and dad was 3 inch, I sold them and bought a pair of Picassos clownfish they took to the same  bubble tip in 2 months exactly the mom is 2 inches and dad 1.25 inches . My black and whites that are 1 year old took to the rose bubble tip in 2 months as well. My Black and Whites that are the breeders of all my babys took to the brown carpet anenome in 2 months or so they also had a 4 inch bubble tip to chose from. I do have a bubble tip if someone needs one he is around 4 inch or so.

My false perc clowns host in both my RBTA and my duncans. I love it when they host in the duncans because they'll go in between the heads and all you can see is their face sticking out...really cool. I'll try to get a pic of it one of these days.

A friend of mine in WDM has a few that he needs to get rid of. He is tearing down his smaller tank and I think has two of them. If you are close and interested, shoot me a PM.
