I am looking to sell my Reef Ready 175 gallon bow front tank. I had rare african cichlids and have decided to sell this tank and take the plunge into saltwater with a rr 33long. The tank has black stand and canopy, 6 foot white and actinic compact florescent lights and lunars, and marineland model 4 sump. Just relisted it on Iowa city Craigslist if I can't figure out how to post pictures on here there are a couple pictures on the listing there. I am looking for $1,400 or best offer and am in Amana. You can respond here, call, or text me if you want (319)721-6882.

    Thanks

    Justin

Just switch that baby to salt. Would make a very nice saltwater setup.

I agree with blackx, that would be one sweet sw tank. I can almost guarantee once you got sw figured out, you will be kicking yourself in the butt for selling the 175. Just fyi, believe it or not, the bigger the tank in sw, the easier to maintain the high water quality needed in sw. Plus more fish! /DesktopModules/ActiveForums/themes/_default//emoticons/smile.gif

lol thanks for the input. I probably will be kicking myself. The wife wants the dining room back, and I have a perfect place for 33 long in the living room where I can enjoy it more. As for the bigger volume being more stable, yes this is very true, thats why I wanted as big of a sump as I can fit under the 33l when I get it. Plus eventually we are going to finish off the basement into a man cave/bar/theater room/game room sort of thing and I am going to make an in wall tank which the bow front wouldn't work for. Which this won't happen for awhile unless I win the lottery because I will have to save and do things here and there. Plus I loved 33 longs ever since I saw a member on here that had a 33l reef many years ago when I was getting into african cichlids, which funny thing I found out I may be able to buy that very same tank that got me liking them lol. Wow that was an epic response. Thanks again for the input guys but this tank has got to go lol.

Sounds like a deal lol.I'm excited to be on here and learn more about saltwater as I have been doing the fresh for awhile. Some carries over but I still have some things that I need to do my research on.

Thats the key right there. Research and take it slow and you will do just fine. Keep us updated on your new project.

Someone from Craigslist got it, I told him about the site. He is going to start setting it up in Ausust I think as a saltwater fish only
