Does anyone have any advice to how long mixed salt water can be stored?
    Thanks, John

I've talked to Hung at SoM about that...his advise is no more than a few days to prevent bacterial growth. However, I've never validated that claim and have not seen anything written about it.

I have kept 1 gallon jugs filled with salt water for far longer than a few days. Few weeks or months is more like it. Not saying this is the norm, but I have never had issues. I like to keep some ready and mixed in case I need it right away for anything. If you are using RO water and aquarium salt (I use RC), I don't imagine bacteria would be a huge issue, especially if you keep a lid on it and don't introduce anything else into the water. Bacteria need nutrients to survive as well, so I would think that the better you do with limiting contamination, the less chance you would have of some sort of growth.

Thanks Bob and Bela, I think I'll try a small batch ( 10-15 gal. ) and see what comes of it.

    Thanks again John
